Ruri Matsumoto

Colourful stripes of colour - partly dense and impermeable, then semitransparent and luminous: the Japanese artist Ruri Matsumoto (* 1981) deals in her works with the possibilities of painting in the post-modern age. Dynamic geometric abstraction is her theme. Here she consistently develops her own pictorial language, which, in addition to pure color, also allows forms to contribute to the content of the picture.
