Beddru - actually Giuseppe Bellia - is one of the most remarkable figurative painters, whose origin strongly influences his work: He comes from Agrigento, Sicily, where he developed his love for ancient Greek art at an early age - beauty and harmony of the human body are central to him. The variety and intensity of his colours are influenced by the Arabic influences in the history of the island.

Beddru uses very different techniques - drawing, watercolour up to painting on canvas and plexiglass. His figures captivate with their contours, dynamic brushstrokes and contrasting colours, radiating powerful emotions and enthusiasm. And they always draw the viewer's attention to the essential: the human being as a whole.

Beddrus' works are represented in numerous collections.
